Gio Reyna (4/10)

Making his first start of 2023, Reyna tried to make things happen but rarely succeeded. He failed to make any impact going forward and did not track back to help out defensively either.

Julian Brandt (7/10)

Brandt had a tough time impacting the game from the right wing. He had a great chance to score in the 77th minute, but made the wrong decision and had his shot cleared off the line. But he made amends for it by finding the back of the net in the 85th minute after running in behind the Bremen defence. Scoring in his hometown will have no doubt felt special for Brandt, who has been in excellent form of late.

Youssoufa Moukoko (N/R)

Moukoko picked up an ankle injury in the first half and was forced to come off.

Sebastien Haller (5/10)

Haller was asked to come on to replace Moukoko and found it difficult to get involved in the game. He looked quite tired after starting three games in a row. But he did manage to play until the end and set up a great chance for Jude Bellingham late on.

Jamie Bynoe-Gittens (8/10)

Jamie Bynoe-Gittens made a telling impact off the bench once again. The talented winger scored his third goal of the season and caused Werder Bremen all sorts of problems after coming on.
