Borussia Dortmund player ratings from 1-0 win over Chelsea

Karim Adeyemi scored an incredible solo goal as Borussia Dortmund handed Chelsea a 1-0 defeat in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League round of 16 tie.

Borussia Dortmund continued their excellent start to 2023, as they beat Chelsea 1-0 on Wednesday evening to make it seven wins in a row in all competitions. Karim Adeyemi scored the only goal of the game to give the Black and Yellows a narrow lead in this round of 16 tie.

Edin Terzic will no doubt be delighted with the resilience his side showed, even though they were under the cosh at times in the second half. Gregor Kobel set the tone for his side by making two big saves in the second half. While Emre Can dominated the midfield battle and also made a vital goal-line clearance. But the tie still remains very much in the balance going into next month’s second leg in London.
