Julian Brandt (7/10)

Brandt continued his fine run of form by setting the tone for Borussia Dortmund against Chelsea. He set up a couple of decent chances for his teammates in the first half and also tested Kepa after the break. His all-round play continues to grow with each passing game.

Karim Adeyemi (8/10)

Adeyemi made a strong start to the game and showed glimpses of his quality in the first half. He was asked to do a lot of defending for long periods of the game. But he stood up and created the moment that clinched the win for Borussia Dortmund with his excellent solo goal. His first touch to control Guerreiro’s clearance was nothing short of sublime, and his lightning fast run helped him steer his way past Enzo Fernández and Kepa Arrizabalaga before scoring into an empty net.

Sebastien Haller (5/10)

Haller found it difficult to get going on his UEFA Champions League debut for Borussia Dortmund. He had one decent chance in the first half, but was kept fairly quiet other than that.
