Edin Terzic has heaped praise on Marius Wolf for working hard and cementing his place in the Borussia Dortmund squad this season.
Marius Wolf is quietly enjoying a fairly decent season with Borussia Dortmund. The versatile wide player has carved out a role for himself in the first-team squad, and has performed really well whenever he has been called upon.
Wolf started at right-back in the first leg of Borussia Dortmund’s UEFA Champions League round of 16 tie against Chelsea and put in another tenacious shift for his side. The 27 year old helped keep the dangerous Mykhailo Mudryk at bay, as BVB managed to claim a vital 1-0 win at home.
And Borussia Dortmund head coach Edin Terzic was full of praise of Wolf during his press conference ahead of this weekend’s Bundesliga clash against Hertha Berlin.
"“Marius has been really good all season,” Terzic said. “He has helped out a lot in defence, even though he is more of an offensive player. He has good technical ability on the ball and stays calm in pressure situations. He can cross the ball really well and he’s improved a lot defensively. He was out for a while in the first half of the season, but he’s performing really well right now. He’s proven that with work and determination, you can earn anything with us.”"
Hard work has been a real characteristic of Marius Wolf’s performances for Borussia Dortmund this season. He gives his all for the team, regardless of where he is asked to play. And his high level of commitment has helped him make a real impression on the BVB coaches and fans alike.
Marius Wolf, who was a Borussia Dortmund supporter growing up, joined the club in 2018 from Eintracht Frankfurt. He has made a total of 18 appearances for the Black and Yellows this season, and has one goal and two assists to his name. All three of his goal involvements have proved to be decisive, leading BVB to crucial wins against SC Freiburg, Schalke 04 and Bayer Leverkusen.
