Karim Adeyemi was forced to come off with what appeared to be a hamstring injury during Borussia Dortmund’s Bundesliga clash against Hertha Berlin on Sunday.

Borussia Dortmund extended their winning run in all competitions to eight matches on Sunday. But the win was soured by Karim Adeyemi picking up what looked like a hamstring injury. The 21 year old was forced to come off during the first half against Hertha Berlin, and Edin Terzic admitted after the game that the injury is a big blow for them.

"“Karim Adeyemi was extremely important for us (against Hertha). He not only scored the first goal. but also assisted the second goal. We need to wait and see. It currently looks like he’ll be sidelined for the time being. We hope he can come back quickly and build on the form that he’s been in.”"

Adeyemi picked up his injury while he was setting up Borussia Dortmund’s second goal on Sunday. The Germany international looked to be in real pain and was holding his thigh as he delivered the cross that was turned into the back of the net by Donyell Malen.

Adeyemi was able to return to the pitch at full-time and was all smiles as he applauded the BVB supporters with his teammates. But the exact diagnosis on his injury is not yet available.

Borussia Dortmund will be hoping that the forward does not have to spend too much time on the sidelines as a result of this injury.
