Borussia Dortmund and a number of other Bundesliga clubs are said to be considering a move for Bodø/Glimt midfielder Hugo Vetlesen.

With Jude Bellingham facing an uncertain future and Mahmoud Dahoud set to leave on a free transfer at the end of the season, Borussia Dortmund will likely look to bolster their midfield ranks in the summer. The Black and Yellows are being linked with a move for Bodø/Glimt midfielder Hugo Vetlesen, who is enjoying an impressive season in Norway.

According to Sky Sport, a number of Bundesliga clubs are keeping tabs on Vetlesen. In addition to Borussia Dortmund, Union Berlin, Hertha Berlin, VfL Bochum and VfB Stuttgart are also said to be in the race for the 22 year old’s signature.

Stuttgart wanted to sign him during the January transfer window as well. But a move failed to materialise in the end.

Hugo Vetlesen, who made his debut for the Norwegian national team in November, only signed a contract extension with Bodø/Glimt until 2025 last week. So it remains to be seen just how much truth there is to Borussia Dortmund’s interest in his signature. His previous contract was due to expire at the end of the season.

Vetlesen scored 16 goals and assisted a further 12 in 29 Eliteserien appearances for Bodø/Glimt last year. He is primarily a central midfielder, but is also capable of playing in attacking midfield and out wide.
