Marius Wolf (7/10)

Wolf was always looking to charge forward on the right flank. He worked immensely hard for the team and was unlucky to have had his goal ruled out in the second half. It was a sumptuous finish from the right-back, who is continuing to improve with every game.

Niklas Süle (6/10)

Süle delivered another reliable and solid performance for his side. He won a lot of duels and also made a number of vital blocks and recoveries. His mistimed pass did ruin one excellent counter-attack that could have made things easier for BVB in the closing stages of the game.

Nico Schlotterbeck (7/10)

Schlotterbeck made a crucial last ditch tackle to prevent Borussia Dortmund from conceding early on. He also came close to scoring in the first half, and put in a strong defensive performance for the most part. Although he did commit a foul that led to Marius Wolf’s goal being disallowed.

Raphael Guerreiro (6/10)

Guerreiro made his return to the starting XI due to Ryerson’s injury. He did struggle defensively at times, and often gave Hoffenheim a bit too much space. But he also came close to scoring twice, with Baumann making two excellent saves to deny him.
