Emre Can (7/10)

Can played the role of the midfield disruptor to great effect. He made several crucial tackles to regain possession for his side. Some of his passing wasn’t the best, but he did his job quite well.

Jude Bellingham (6/10)

Bellingham was always looking to venture forward, and that left a bit too much space for Hoffenheim in midfield. His decision making did improve as the game went on, and he created a good chance for Marius Wolf before hitting the post in the closing stages.

Marco Reus (7/10)

Reus set up what proved to be the winning goal for Borussia Dortmund with a beautifully whipped free-kick. He was heavily involved in the team’s attacking play, and created a number of chances for his teammates. In the second half, he was asked to do a lot of defending. But the BVB captain stood up to the task.
