Another tough test lies in store for Borussia Dortmund on Friday as they welcome Marco Rose and RB Leipzig to the Westfalenstadion.
Borussia Dortmund will continue their bid to win the Bundesliga title on Friday evening, as they take on fellow contenders RB Leipzig. We should be in for an intriguing battle between two of the top four teams in the league.
The Black and Yellows go into the game on the back of nine straight wins across all competitions. But they have tasted defeats in their last three games against RB Leipzig, including a 3-0 loss in the reverse fixture. Edin Terzic’s side will be eager to buck that trend on Friday.
Borussia Dortmund are set to welcome Julian Ryerson back into the squad on Friday. The Norwegian international missed the trip to TSG Hoffenheim last weekend, but is now back in training. Karim Adeyemi, Youssoufa Moukoko, Julien Duranville and Mateu Morey are all sidelined at the moment.
RB Leipzig will be without the suspended Konrad Laimer and the injured Dani Olmo. First-choice goalkeeper Péter Gulácsi and former BVB defender Abdou Diallo are also unavailable at the moment. Christopher Nkunku could return to the starting XI after coming off the bench in the last three games.
RB Leipzig head coach Marco Rose will make his return to the Westfalenstadion for the first time since parting ways with Borussia Dortmund at the end of last season.
