Borussia Dortmund will be aiming to keep their winning run going as they take on fellow Bundesliga title hopefuls RB Leipzig on Friday.

Borussia Dortmund’s title credentials will be put to the test on Friday evening, with Marco Rose and RB Leipzig set to make the trip to the Westfalenstadion on matchday 23 of the Bundesliga season.

There is a lot riding on this game, with both teams currently locked in the battle for the Bundesliga title. And we are all set for a cracking contest between two teams with plenty of quality players in their ranks.

BVB will be without Karim Adeyemi and Youssoufa Moukoko on Friday, with the duo still sidelined with their respective injuries. Mateu Morey and Julien Duranville are closing in on their returns, but the Leipzig game comes too soon for them.

Gregor Kobel will start between the sticks on Friday, aiming to continue his excellent run of form. The Swiss shot stopper could be in for another tough test against a Leipzig side with a number of talented forwards.

Julian Ryerson is expected to make his return to the Borussia Dortmund squad on Friday. The likelihood is that he will start at left-back, with the in-form Marius Wolf keeping his spot at right-back.

Niklas Süle and Nico Schlotterbeck will continue their blossoming partnership at centre-back on Friday. The Germany internationals will need to be at their best to keep the likes of Christopher Nkunku, Timo Werner and Andre Silva quiet.

Emre Can will start in the number six role and will be crucial to Borussia Dortmund’s hopes of preventing Leipzig from dominating the midfield battle. It will be interesting to see if Edin Terzic decides to stick with a more attack-minded formation or bring Salih Özcan back into the starting XI to give the team more balance defensively.

Jude Bellingham will keep his spot in midfield and will have a vital role to play on Friday. The England international has been kept relatively quiet in recent games. And he will be eager to help lead Borussia Dortmund to victory against RB Leipzig.

Marco Reus has found his form in the last two games and is set to keep his place in the starting XI. His role will likely depend on whether or not Özcan joins Emre Can in defensive midfield.

Julian Brandt has scored in each of Borussia Dortmund’s last four games in the Bundesliga. And he will be aiming to keep his fine run of form going on Friday.

Sebastien Haller will likely start up front once again. Although Donyell Malen could also be an option if Terzic decides to take a more counter-attacking approach to the game.
