Hans-Joachim Watzke has heaped praise on Edin Terzic, saying that the 40 year old is doing an excellent job at Borussia Dortmund.

Edin Terzic has guided Borussia Dortmund to an excellent start to the calendar year. The Black and Yellows have won their last ten games across all competitions, and are only behind Bayern Munich on goal difference at the top of the Bundesliga standings.

And Hans-Joachim Watzke has hailed the Borussia Dortmund head coach for the job he has done since returning to the dugout in the summer. In an interview with Ruhr Nachrichten, the BVB CEO said:

"“Edin Terzic and his team are doing an excellent job. By the way, I already said this in November, when things were looking gloomier in sporting terms. I’m glad that my opinion is now also reflected in results. But our run is a joint product and just as much the result of the very good work of Sebastian Kehl and, before that, Michael Zorc.”"

Next up for Borussia Dortmund is the second leg of their UEFA Champions League round of 16 tie against Chelsea. They go into the game with confidence and a one goal lead on their side.

Hans-Joachim Watzke is expecting a difficult second leg in London, but he is confident that BVB can see off the challenge of Chelsea and make it to the quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League.

"“No one should believe that tenth place in the Premier League reflects Chelsea’s sporting quality. It will be a very difficult challenge, but I have great confidence that the team will give everything to make it to the quarterfinals.”"

Borussia Dortmund have managed to get their season well and truly back on track with a stunning run of results since the turn of the year.
