Borussia Dortmund look set to welcome Marco Reus back into the squad for their Bundesliga clash against FC Köln this weekend.
Another potentially tricky test awaits Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga on Saturday as they host FC Köln. After going two games without a win, the onus will be on the Black and Yellows as they look to get their charge for the Bundesliga title back on track. Edin Terzic’s side certainly cannot take the Billy Goats lightly, having lost the reverse fixture 3-2.
Borussia Dortmund should be boosted by the return of Marco Reus. The club captain missed the trip to Schalke last weekend, but is now back in team training. Julian Brandt, Gregor Kobel and Karim Adeyemi are all doubts ahead of the game. While Youssoufa Moukoko, Julien Duranville and Mateu Morey are sidelined at the moment.
Emre Can will also miss Saturday’s game. The midfielder is suspended after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season in the Bundesliga last weekend. Former FC Köln midfielder Salih Özcan could replace him in the starting XI.
Raphael Guerreiro could start in midfield once again after impressing against Schalke. Niklas Süle should come into the starting XI in place of Mats Hummels.
FC Köln will be without a number of first-team players on Saturday, including Florian Dietz, Mark Uth, Luca Kilian, Kristian Pedersen and Jan Thielmann. Steffen Tigges could start up front against his former club.
Steffen Baumgart’s side have failed to find the back of the net in six of their last seven games. But they will certainly be up for the fight against Borussia Dortmund.
