Borussia Dortmund receive Jamie Bynoe-Gittens injury scare
Jamie Bynoe-Gittens was forced to miss Borussia Dortmund’s Bundesliga clash against FC Köln due to shoulder problems.
Borussia Dortmund’s injury concerns are showing no signs of easing up at the moment. The Black and Yellows had to make do without a number of key players for their Bundesliga clash against FC Köln. And Jamie Bynoe-Gittens joined the team’s injury list ahead of the game.
According to the club, the highly rated winger missed the game due to shoulder problems. Sky Sport report that Bynoe-Gittens has been struggling with a shoulder issue for a number of weeks now and he had been playing through the pain barrier in recent games.
The 18 year old was forced to spend a number of months on the sidelines after undergoing surgery on his shoulder in September. He returned to action in January, and has been ever present for Borussia Dortmund since the turn of the year. It remains to be seen how long the England youth international will be out for.
Jamie Bynoe-Gittens’ injury is another big blow for Borussia Dortmund, who have been forced to make do without a number of key players in recent weeks. Gregor Kobel, Julian Brandt, Karim Adeyemi and Youssoufa Moukoko have all spent a number of weeks on the sidelines. And their absence has certainly been felt in the team.
Borussia Dortmund’s next game after the Köln clash will be against Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga on April 1. And the hope will be that the majority of the injured players can be fully fit in time for that game.
