Edin Terzic believes that Borussia Dortmund are still the hunters in the Bundesliga title race despite taking a one point lead over Bayern Munich.

Borussia Dortmund moved to the top of the Bundesliga standings last weekend after Bayern Munich fell to a shock 2-1 defeat to Bayer Leverkusen. The Black and Yellows now hold a one point lead over Julian Nagelsmann’s side with nine games still left in the Bundesliga this season.

But Edin Terzic feels that Borussia Dortmund are still hunting their Bavarian counterparts in the Bundesliga title race.

"“We are still the hunters,” Terzic told Sky Sport. “It’s certainly nice (to be top of the table), but there is still a lot to fight for. We are far from done.”"

The Borussia Dortmund head coach feels that his team will go into their clash against Bayern Munich full of confidence. But he is wary of Bayern’s quality, and knows that the task of winning at the Allianz Arena will not be an easy one.

"“We know about the quality and strength of the opponent. Bayern are among the best teams in European football.”“We’re in a really good place at the moment. That makes us very confident. If we go into the game not only with a portion of respect, but also with courage, we have a great chance.”"

Borussia Dortmund have a poor recent record against Bayern Munich, especially away from home. But BVB did come from two goals down to rescue a 2-2 draw in the reverse fixture. And they are still unbeaten in the Bundesliga in 2023, having won nine and drawn one of their ten matches since the turn of the year.

BVB were nine points shy of Bayern Munich going into the World Cup break. And their turnaround since then has been nothing short of spectacular. Borussia Dortmund will now be aiming to build on their recent performances and continue their fine run of form heading into the business end of the season.
