Eintracht Frankfurt are said to be eyeing Borussia Dortmund U-19s coach Mike Tullberg as a potential replacement if Oliver Glasner leaves the club in the summer.

Eintracht Frankfurt head coach Oliver Glasner is said to be attracting the interest of a number of clubs in Europe. Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly eyeing him as their next head coach. The Eagles would like to extend the contract of the 48 year old, who led them to the UEFA Europa League title last season.

But Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director Markus Krösche is already looking at alternatives to prepare for the Austrian’s potential departure. According to BILD, Eintracht Frankfurt view Borussia Dortmund U-19s coach Mike Tullberg as a possible successor if Glasner decides to leave the club in the summer.

Tullberg has done an excellent job since taking over as Borussia Dortmund U-19s head coach in 2020 and helped them win the U-19 Bundesliga title last season.

The 37 year old has played a crucial role in the development of some of BVB’s most talented players, and also helped the likes of Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, Youssoufa Moukoko, Tom Rothe and Ansgar Knauff make it to the first-team.

Mike Tullberg is considered to be one of the most exciting young coaches in Germany. And it is no surprise that Bundesliga clubs are showing an interest in appointing him as head coach. He still has more than three years left on his current contract with Borussia Dortmund, having signed an extension with the club just last year. So it will be interesting to see what the future holds for him.
