Borussia Dortmund are keen to extend Jude Bellingham’s contract and keep him at the club beyond the end of the season.

Jude Bellingham is attracting the interest of some of the biggest clubs in Europe. But Borussia Dortmund have not yet given up hope of keeping him at the club beyond the summer transfer window. The BVB bosses are ready to offer the England international a new contract which could make him the highest paid player and a figurehead at the club.

BILD had earlier claimed that Borussia Dortmund are ready to add a release clause in the region of 150 million euros to Bellingham’s contract. But according to Ruhr Nachrichten, the 19 year old will not be given a release clause if he agrees to extend his contract with the club.

The newspaper adds that Borussia Dortmund only agreed to insert an exit clause in Erling Haaland’s contract because that was the only way to sign him. But Bellingham is already at the club, and the Black and Yellows are under no pressure to sell him at the moment.

With Liverpool, Real Madrid, and Manchester City all battling for Jude Bellingham’s signature, Ruhr Nachrichten believe that the chances of him staying at Borussia Dortmund beyond the end of the season are less than 50%. But those at BVB are ready to fight to keep him at the club.
