Karim Adeyemi wants to win the Bundesliga title with Borussia Dortmund, and he is confident that they have what it takes to topple Bayern Munich this season.

A fascinating title race is brewing in the Bundesliga this season, and a massive game lies in store this weekend as league leaders Borussia Dortmund travel to Bavaria to take on Bayern Munich.

Karim Adeyemi is working hard to return to full fitness in time for Saturday’s top of the table clash. And he is determined to win the Bundesliga title with Borussia Dortmund. The forward also believes that the Black and Yellows have what it takes to get the better of Bayern in the Bundesliga this season.

In an interview with WAZ, Adeyemi spoke about BVB’s title chances this season.

"“It’s nice to see how happy the fans are that we’re in first place. But we know that it will take more than that to become champions in the future. And of course I want to win the championship with BVB. That’s my goal.”“I’ve said from the start, you can ask anyone, that I trust the team. I definitely want to be at the top, we can do it.”"

Borussia Dortmund have enjoyed a remarkable turnaround since the turn of the year, overcoming a nine point deficit to take the lead in the Bundesliga title race.

Karim Adeyemi has been one of the team’s top performers in 2023, with the summer signing scoring a number of important goals before picking up a muscle fibre tear in his thigh last month. The Germany international believes that working with a mental coach has really helped him perform better on the pitch.

"“I wrote down some resolutions for the new year and have been trying to achieve them. If you want to play consistently convincingly at such a high level, it’s important to be physically and mentally fit.”“With a mental coach, I tried to become stronger in my head and prepare properly for every game. This has really helped me, as you can see.”"

Adeyemi will now be aiming to pick up right where he left off, and his return will give Borussia Dortmund a big boost in attack ahead of the business end of the season.
