Sebastian Kehl is remaining coy on the status of talks with Borussia Dortmund players who will be out of contract at the end of the season.

A number of key Borussia Dortmund players will be out of contract at the end of the season, and a decision on their futures has not yet been made. Sebastian Kehl revealed on Tuesday that he held talks with a number of players and also made good progress. But he is now focusing on the team’s upcoming games that could well make or break their season.

"“Of course, I used last week to hold intensive talks and also made progress in many areas,” Kehl said. “But I can’t say much more about Marco or other personnel matters, we’re not that far along yet. And I also believe that we should first concentrate on the three games that lie ahead of us. But after that, we will certainly make decisions.”"

The contracts of Marco Reus, Mats Hummels and Raphael Guerreiro are set to expire at the end of the season. And Sebastian Kehl will be keen to come to a decision on their futures in the coming weeks.

Marco Reus stated before the international break that he would like to stay at Borussia Dortmund until the end of his playing career, and the likelihood is that he will receive a contract extension. It is also being reported that Raphael Guerreiro will be offered a new BVB contract after finding his form in recent games.

The future of Mats Hummels is uncertain at the moment, with the defender wanting to take his time before deciding whether or not he wants to stay at Borussia Dortmund.
