Borussia Dortmund will be hoping for the returns of a number of key players for their crunch top of the table clash against Bayern Munich.

Borussia Dortmund will go up against Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga this weekend in a game that could have massive consequences on the title race. The Black and Yellows go into the game with a one point lead over their title rivals, and they will be keen to end their dismal recent record in Munich on Saturday.

Edin Terzic is set to welcome the likes of Gregor Kobel, Julian Brandt, Karim Adeyemi and Youssoufa Moukoko back into the squad. Emre Can will also return after missing the Köln game through suspension. The hope is that Nico Schlotterbeck will also be able to recover from his thigh issue and play from the start in Munich.

With Gregor Kobel fit again, he will slot straight back into the starting XI. The Swiss international will be crucial to Borussia Dortmund’s hopes of getting the three points against Bayern.

Niklas Süle will return to the Allianz Arena for the first time since his summer move from Bayern to Borussia Dortmund. Nico Schlotterbeck will likely partner him in the heart of the BVB defence. Mats Hummels could become an option if Schlotterbeck isn’t able to recover in time.

Fresh off his debut for the Germany national teamMarius Wolf will start at right-back for Borussia Dortmund on Saturday. Julian Ryerson will likely start at left-back, and will be in for a tough defensive assignment.

Emre Can will return to the team in defensive midfield, and will have a key role to play on Saturday. A good performance from him would really boost Borussia Dortmund’s hopes of getting the three points.

Jude Bellingham will start in the number eight role, looking to build on his strong performances for England. Raphael Guerreiro was in excellent form before the international break, and will likely start in midfield once again. Salih Özcan could come into the team if Edin Terzic decides to go with a more defensive minded starting XI.

Marco Reus will start in a free-flowing number ten role, with Julian Brandt expected to partner him in the BVB attack. If Brandt isn’t able to play from the start, Donyell Malen could start on the right-wing.

Sebastien Haller will likely start in the number nine role, having scored three goals in his last three appearances for club and country.
