Borussia Dortmund suffered a serious blow to their hopes of winning the Bundesliga title, as they were handed a 4-2 defeat by Bayern Munich.

There was a real sense of deja vu as Borussia Dortmund were taught yet another footballing lesson by Bayern Munich. The Black and Yellows were second best for much of the game and were made to pay time and time again for their calamitous defending. Bayern did the damage early on, before cruising to a 4-2 win to move to the top of the Bundesliga standings.

Borussia Dortmund will be made to rue a massive missed opportunity to take a real step in their bid to win the Bundesliga title this season. Edin Terzic’s side now sit two points behind Bayern Munich with eight games to go before the end of the season.

Here are our player ratings for the Borussia Dortmund players from their 4-2 defeat to Bayern Munich.

Gregor Kobel (2/10)

Kobel turned Borussia Dortmund’s encouraging start into a horror one with a careless error for Bayern’s first goal. The Switzerland international didn’t cover himself in glory before Bayern’s third goal either. He did make a few crucial saves in the second half to keep the scoreline respectable, but the damage was already done.
