Borussia Dortmund will go up against Bayern Munich this weekend in what will be a massive six pointer at the top of the Bundesliga standings.

The Bundesliga makes its return this weekend, and a massive game lies in store for us as Borussia Dortmund travel to Bavaria to take on title rivals Bayern Munich. With just one point separating the two teams in the Bundesliga standings, this game could have massive consequences on the outcome of the title race.

Borussia Dortmund moved to the top of the Bundesliga standings following Bayern Munich’s defeat to Bayer Leverkusen before the international break. The defending Bundesliga champions responded swiftly by parting ways with Julian Nagelsmann, and appointing Thomas Tuchel as head coach.

The 49 year old will go up against his former employers in his first game in charge of Bayern Munich. Edin Terzic’s side are unbeaten in the Bundesliga since the turn of the year, and have overcome a nine point deficit to take the lead in the Bundesliga title race. And we should be in for a fascinating battle between the two German heavyweights this weekend.
