Borussia Dortmund player ratings vs Union Berlin: Youssoufa Moukoko nets late winner
By Tushar Bahl
Julian Ryerson (6/10)
Playing against his former club, Ryerson had a mixed bag of a game. The Norwegian international darted forward to great effect on a number of occasions, and also made some vital defensive recoveries for his side. But he also had some careless ball losses that could have been very costly.
Niklas Süle (4/10)
Süle was booked in the opening minute of the game and things did not get much better for him after that. The Germany international switched off and was beaten far too easily in the build-up to Union Berlin’s equaliser. He had a lot of problems against the energetic Union Berlin forwards over the course of the 90 minutes.
Mats Hummels (6/10)
Hummels fared much better than his partner at centre-back, and looked solid in defence for the most part. He also set the tone for Borussia Dortmund in their build-up play. But Union Berlin were able to exploit his lack of pace on a couple of occasions in the second half.
Raphael Guerreiro (8/10)
Guerreiro returned to left-back and had a lot of joy out wide in the first half. He set up the opening goal with a fantastic low cross and also created a great chance for Sebastien Haller late in the first half. The Portuguese international then made a crucial last ditch tackle to prevent Union Berlin from taking the lead.
