Özcan’s poor run of form continued on his return to the starting XI. Playing in the number six role, the Turkish international failed to help his side gain control of the game. His passing was poor and he often left Stuttgart with way too much space in the middle of the park.

Jude Bellingham (5/10)

Bellingham was kept quiet for the most part but still managed to come close to scoring. He hit the crossbar early in the second half, with a chance to make it 3-0 in BVB’s favour. The England international worked hard but wasn’t able to make the desired impact and lost the ball too easily at times.

Julian Brandt (4/10)

Brandt had an off day as he looked careless in possession and failed to cause any problems to the Stuttgart defenders with his creativity. A lot of his set pieces were ordinary and he wasn’t able to help out defensively either.
