Borussia Dortmund player ratings from 4-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt: Clinical BVB go top
By Tushar Bahl
Julian Ryerson (6/10)
Ryerson was kept fairly quiet going forward but got stuck in defensively and played with great discipline. The Norwegian international kept Borussia Dortmund loanee Ansgar Knauff at bay rather comfortably.
Nico Schlotterbeck (N/R)
Schlotterbeck made a surprise return to the starting XI after recovering from his injury, but was forced to come off in the 24th minute. Hopefully, the latest setback is not a serious one.
Mats Hummels (8/10)
Hummels led from the front and made a couple of crucial early challenges to prevent Eintracht Frankfurt from taking the lead. He then scored the all-important third goal for Borussia Dortmund when the Eagles were threatening to claw their way back into the game. It was a strong performance from the 34 year old, who showed that he still has plenty left in the tank.
Raphael Guerreiro (7/10)
Guerreiro added another assist to his tally as he set up Mats Hummels’ goal with an inch perfect cross. The Portuguese international had a lot of joy down the left flank, and also performed his defensive duties really well for the most part.
