Borussia Dortmund have received an injury boost as Julien Duranville returned to team training on Tuesday, per Ruhr Nachrichten.

With the ebb and flow of player injuries at Borussia Dortmund simply being a constant of the club at this point, there’s always something to talk about in terms of players being sidelined or recovering from previous knocks. In this case, we’ve been greeted with some good news as winter signing Julien Duranville took part in team training on Tuesday.

Duranville signed for BVB in January from RSC Anderlecht for a fee of 8.5 million euros. He arrived in Borussia Dortmund to much fanfare as the 16 year old had impressed quite a bit during his brief time in Belgium.

Julien Duranville’s return will be a welcome one as his first appearance for Dortmund is much anticipated. The winger is considered to be one of the most talented young wingers in Europe, and fans will be looking forward to seeing him in action.

Whenever it is that Duranville becomes fully available again, he will add much needed depth out wide, providing a different profile to the two players currently playing their trade in those positions – Karim Adeyemi and Donyell Malen. Duranville is certainly more of a traditional winger like Jamie Bynoe-Gittens.

That being said, both Adeyemi and Malen are in a red hot run of form, which will make it hard for the young Belgian to get many minutes off the bat. This should work just fine for now, however, as there’s no point in rushing the player back onto the pitch after such a long injury lay-off.
