Borussia Dortmund announce pre-season friendlies against Chelsea and Manchester United

Borussia Dortmund will play friendly matches against Chelsea and Manchester United as part of their pre-season tour to the United States.

Borussia Dortmund are set to return to the United States this summer for what will be their fourth pre-season trip to the country. The Black and Yellows announced last month that they will be facing English Premier League side Manchester United at the Allegiant Stadium in Nevada on July 30 (kick-off: 6 pm PT).

Edin Terzic’s will then go up against Chelsea at the Soldier Field in Chicago on August 2 (kick-off: 7:30 pm CST). This fixture will be a repeat of the UEFA Champions League round of 16 clash between the two teams, that saw Chelsea overturn a first leg deficit and win 2-1.

Borussia Dortmund’s summer tour to the United States will start in late July, and fans in the country will get to watch the likes of Marco Reus, Karim Adeyemi, Gio Reyna, and more players in action. More pre-season friendly matches and the exact dates for BVB’s summer tour to the United States will be announced in the coming weeks.

Borussia Dortmund also travel to Switzerland for a training camp in Bad Ragaz before the start of every season. Although it remains to be seen if that will be the case this year.

The 2023/24 Bundesliga season is due to get underway on Friday, August 18, 2023. If Borussia Dortmund side manage to win the Bundesliga title this season, they will also feature in the DFL-Supercup match which is scheduled to take place on Saturday, August 12, 2023.
