Borussia Dortmund player ratings from 6-0 win over Wolfsburg
By Tushar Bahl
Marius Wolf (7/10)
Wolf showed Borussia Dortmund what they had been missing on his return to the starting XI. The right-back made some excellent forward runs and also helped make the third goal happen with an outstanding long ball to send Julian Brandt through on goal.
Niklas Süle (6/10)
Süle had another solid game in defence, barring one error in positioning that resulted in a big chance for Wolfsburg. The Germany international also came close to scoring in the second half with a curling effort from the edge of the box.
Mats Hummels (8/10)
Hummels rolled back the years and put in an ever-present display to help Borussia Dortmund claim the three points. He won the ball back before BVB’s second goal and caused Wolfsburg a lot of problems with his high-pressing in the first half. He also played some delightful forward passes to find his teammates in space.
Julian Ryerson (7/10)
Ryerson delivered the deflected cross that left to Adeyemi’s opening goal and looked very lively in his duels. The Norwegian international put in a solid shift on both ends of the pitch to keep Ridle Baku at bay for the most part.
