Sebastien Haller and Donyell Malen led the way as Borussia Dortmund dispatched Gladbach 5-2 to stay one point behind Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga title race.

A stunning first half performance set the tone for a convincing victory as Borussia Dortmund managed to stay on Bayern Munich’s heels in the Bundesliga title race. Sebastien Haller and Donyell Malen were the stars of the show for the Black and Yellows, with the latter making it eight goals and five assists in his last eight appearances in the Bundesliga.

Jude Bellingham and Gio Reyna were also on target for Borussia Dortmund, who were in cruise control for the majority of the game thanks to a blistering first half performance. Edin Terzic’s side will now be hoping for a favour from former head coach Marco Rose and RB Leipzig as they look to win the Bundesliga title for the first time in 11 years this season.

Here are our player ratings for the Borussia Dortmund players from their 5-2 win over Borussia Mönchengladbach.

Gregor Kobel (7/10)

Kobel came up with a number of crucial saves over the course of the 90 minutes. The Swiss international’s save to deny Lars Stindl in the 88th minute was especially key, as it came when Gladbach were trying to launch a late comeback.
