Emre Can (6/10)

Can quietly went about his business and did the job asked of him. He wasn’t required to do as much work defensively but controlled the game well from his number six role. He also filled in at centre-back after Mats Hummels was substituted.

Jude Bellingham (7/10)

Bellingham tucked home the penalty to make it 2-0 for Borussia Dortmund. He was a step ahead of Gladbach over the course of the 90 minutes, and helped his side earn a dominant win in the end.

Julian Brandt (8/10)

Brandt was the catalyst for most of the good things Borussia Dortmund did in the final third. His weighted passes for Donyell Malen in the build-up to Haller’s two goals were simply sublime. And he always managed to find an opening, no matter what Gladbach tried to do.
