Edin Terzic: We’re ready to take this final step together

Edin Terzic believes that Borussia Dortmund are ready to take that final step together and win the Bundesliga title this weekend.
Borussia Dortmund are set to take on Mainz 05 this weekend in what will undoubtedly be their most important game in years. The Black and Yellows have the golden opportunity to win the Bundesliga title on the final matchday of the season. And Edin Terzic is raring to go ahead of the game.
During his pre-match press conference, the Borussia Dortmund head coach said that they are ready to take the final step towards winning the Bundesliga title after what has been a crazy season.
"“I can say that it is probably the most beautiful game that awaits me. The tension is usually greater a day before than on game day itself. But now it’s not about how I feel, but what I can give to the team. We’re not done yet – but we’re ready to take this final step. As a team, as a club, as a city.”“It has definitely been a very crazy season, there were phases that didn’t feel easy. Especially the week before the World Cup with the two defeats. It wasn’t an easy situation then. But we tackled all of that, we did it with a lot of hard work and positive energy.”"
This season has been very much like a roller coaster ride for Borussia Dortmund, who were nine points behind Bayern Munich going into the winter break. But they have managed to turn things around and now go into the final matchday with a two point lead over the defending champions.
A win against Mainz 05 on Saturday would be enough to help Edin Terzic’s side clinch the Bundesliga title. The 40 year old knows all about the importance of the game, but is determined to ensure that the pressure doesn’t get to his players.
"“We are not letting it get to us at all. We’re fully focused on the game. It will be difficult against Mainz. We know it’s an important game, with all the things that go with it. But we will start with eleven players who are fired up to win the game.”"
