Borussia Dortmund player ratings from 2-2 draw vs Mainz

Borussia Dortmund lost the Bundesliga title to Bayern Munich on goal difference after being held to a 2-2 draw by Mainz 05 on the final day of the season.
The 2022/23 Bundesliga season ended in heartbreak for Borussia Dortmund as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Mainz, losing the Meisterschale to Bayern Munich on goal difference. A disastrous first half that saw them concede two unanswered goals proved to be very costly for the Black and Yellows. And while they managed to get back on level terms, there just wasn’t enough time in the end for a winner.
It was a crushing result for Borussia Dortmund, who went into the final matchday of the season with a two point lead over Bayern Munich. But Jamal Musiala’s late winner helped the Bavarians beat FC Köln and win the Bundesliga title on goal difference.

Gregor Kobel (7/10)
Kobel wasn’t able to prevent Mainz from scoring twice in the first half. But he made a number of strong saves to prevent the 05ers from adding to their two goal lead early in the second half.
