How Borussia Dortmund can bolster their their squad in the summer transfer window

Wildcards
Transfer windows are always unpredictable and anything can happen as players sometimes become available unexpectedly. Borussia Dortmund probably don’t need to bring in any reinforcements in attack, barring any major sales. But that could change if a proven game-changer in their price range becomes available.
As Marco Reus’ starting appearances turn into cameo ones, the BVB bosses may consider bringing in someone who can make an impact in the starting XI straight away. The player must be creative, intelligent, and capable of performing in a number of positions on a consistent basis. Two names that stand out are Jesper Lindstrøm and Jadon Sancho.
While moves for the duo are highly unlikely (if not improbable) at this stage, they certainly have the x-factor that Borussia Dortmund need if they are to battle for the Bundesliga title again next season.
Any players that are brought in during the summer transfer window need to create competition in their respective positions. This was achieved with the mid-season signing of Julian Ryerson, who cemented his spot in the team and is now set to play an important role next season as well.
The platform is set for Borussia Dortmund to take the fight to Bayern Munich next season. But first they must make the right moves in the transfer market and ensure that the squad is up for the fight from matchday one.
