Rafaela Pimenta has revealed that Serie A clubs have interest in signing Donyell Malen, but Borussia Dortmund are not considering selling him this summer.

Donyell Malen has enjoyed a remarkable turnaround since the turn of the year, going from a potential candidate for sale to a regular starter at Borussia Dortmund. The Netherlands international’s performances have seen him attract the interest of a number of clubs in Italy, but his agent Rafaela Pimenta has revealed that BVB have no interest in selling him.

"“They like him in Italy, but he is appreciated by Borussia, he plays as a starter, they are not thinking about a farewell,” Pimenta said when asked about Malen after the Golden Boy event on Tuesday."

The recently concluded season was a tale of two halves for Malen. The 24 year old struggled for much of the first half of the season, but finally found his footing after the winter break. Malen scored a number of crucial goals for Borussia Dortmund, as they came ever so close to winning the Bundesliga title.

The forward ended the season with an impressive tally of ten goals and eight assists in 35 appearances across all competitions, and continued his fine run of form by scoring for the Netherlands in their UEFA Nations League semifinal against Croatia earlier this month.

Donyell Malen, who joined Borussia Dortmund from PSV Eindhoven in 2021 as the replacement for Jadon Sancho, still has three years left on his contract. And he will no doubt have a crucial role to play for the Black and Yellows next season as they look to take the fight to Bayern Munich and finally end their wait to win the Bundesliga title.
