Most Hard-working Player: Emre Can

If you had told me at the beginning of this season that Emre Can would be one of Dortmund’s best players, I would have probably laughed at you and called you crazy. Since arriving in Dortmund, Emre Can lacked consistency, and some fans (including myself) wouldn’t have hesitated to give him the “Please Sell Him” award. But, thankfully, he proved us all wrong in 2022/2023.

Can’s hard-working personality showed to be his ‘superpower,’ with the German International really thriving in a Dortmund jersey this season. He was a solid rock that maintained the defensive balance in the team, and even becoming adventurous in the attack scoring a few cracking goals. If anyone could have changed his status at Dortmund, Emre CAN! There are many fans now who expect Can to sign an extension with the club, and see him as a future leader in this side.
