Season Awards: The Highlights of Borussia Dortmund’s 2022/2023 Journey

MVP: Jude Bellingham

I believe there is not a single BVB fan that would disagree with the fact that Jude Bellingham was the most valuable Borussia Dortmund player in the 2022/2023 season. The young Englishman was the mastermind behind the midfield, a number 8 with world class creativity and skills. It’s no wonder that his performances got the attention of clubs like Spanish powerhouse Real Madrid.

Bellingham’s numbers were above any other BVB players this season: 14 goals and seven assists in 42 games in all competitions, and, just a reminder, he is a central midfielder. Bellingham was one of the best prospects I have ever seen in Dortmund, and one can only imagine what would have happened if he had started that match against Mainz. Jude, I speak for all BVB fans when I say that we will miss you.
