Inter Milan, AC Milan, Juventus and Aston Villa are said to be in the race to sign Thomas Meunier, who is expected to leave Borussia Dortmund this summer.
Thomas Meunier is free to leave Borussia Dortmund this summer for a cut-price fee, and four clubs are said to be in the queue for the his signature. According to BILD, Inter Milan, Juventus and AC Milan are all interested in signing the Belgian international. And he also has a lucrative offer from English Premier League side Aston Villa.
The tabloid further claims that Borussia Dortmund are willing to sell Meunier for a transfer fee in the region of 3 million euros this summer.
The 31 year old fell out of favour at Borussia Dortmund last season, and was limited to just 16 appearances across all competitions. His lack of playing time also saw him lose his spot in the Belgium squad.
Meunier has 12 months left on his current BVB contract, and those in charge are keen to shed his salary from the club’s wage bill this summer.
Borussia Dortmund signed Thomas Meunier on a free transfer from Paris St. Germain in 2020. The right-back has made a total of 75 appearances for the club, and has three goals and eight assists to his name.
Meunier has never really managed to fully fit in at Borussia Dortmund. He came close to joining FC Barcelona in January 2022, but the offer was rejected by the BVB bosses. Now it looks like his time at the club will finally come to an end this summer.
