Reports have been circulating that Borussia Dortmund are considering signing Real Madrid’s Sergio Arribas on a two year loan deal.

Sergio Arribas, 22, plays for Real Madrid’s Castilla side in the third tier of Spanish football. In the 2022/23 season, the attacking midfielder scored 21 goals and assisted 7 times and has been a prominent figure for the legendary Raul’s side. During the recently concluded season, he also made two substitute appearances for the senior team under Carlo Ancelotti.

For those unfamiliar with Arribas’ game, he is a left-footed attacking midfielder who is also capable of playing on the wing as an inside forward.

Once likened to Isco, at 5’7″, his low centre of gravity helps him dribble fluently and operate by breaking the lines of play from midfield with his precise passing.

His statistics from last season show that he is capable of making a big impact in the final third. He helped Real Madrid B finish 3rd in Primera RFEF – Group 1, and impressively only finished behind Ceuta forward Rodri in the top scorers list.
