There is said to be great belief at Borussia Dortmund that highly rated winger Julien Duranville has the potential to be the next Jadon Sancho.
Borussia Dortmund beat out competition from a number of big clubs to sign Julien Duranville for a fee in the region of 10 million euros in January, and those in charge at the club are confident that the highly rated winger is set for a breakout season.
According to BILD, the BVB bosses believe that Duranville can be the next Jadon Sancho. And internally, people at the club are convinced that the 17 year old has the potential to become even better than the former BVB forward.
Sancho, who enjoyed his breakthrough at Borussia Dortmund before moving to Manchester United, has struggled to make a similar impact in the English Premier League. It has been reported that the Black and Yellows could even look to sign him this summer. But the tabloid adds that there are currently no plans at BVB to bring the 23 year old back to the club.
Julien Duranville made his first-team debut for Borussia Dortmund on the final day of last season. And while it was a day to forget for the club, the Belgium U-19s international showed glimpses of his potential and caused the Mainz defenders all sorts of problems after coming off the bench.
Duranville will now look to continue his progress during pre-season and then take the next steps in his development to establish himself as a regular part of the Borussia Dortmund squad in the coming campaign.
