It is now being reported that Thomas Meunier has yet to receive an offer from Club Brugge, contrary to Monday’s claims.

Multiple reports claimed on Monday that Thomas Meunier has reached an agreement on a three-year contract with Belgian side Club Brugge. But Sky Sport are now reporting that the right-back is unaware of an offer from his former club at the moment.

Borussia Dortmund have also not received any bids for Meunier as of yet. The right-back trained with the team on Tuesday, and is expected to continue to do so in the coming days.

Meunier is free to leave Borussia Dortmund this summer, having fallen out of favour under Edin Terzic. The 31 year old, who joined BVB on a free transfer from Paris Saint Germain in 2020, was limited to just 16 first-team appearances across all competitions last season.

FC Barcelona, Inter Milan, Juventus, and Aston Villa have also been linked with a move for Thomas Meunier, who still has 12 months left on his current contract with the Black and Yellows.

The BVB bosses are ready to sell the right-back for a cut-price fee this summer in a bid to shed his salary from the club’s wage bill. While Meunier will hope for a fresh start at a new club.

Borussia Dortmund would also like to sign a new right-back this summer. But they will likely have to wait for Meunier’s future to get resolved before they can make any further moves. Marius Wolf, Julian Ryerson and Mateu Morey are the other right-backs available to Edin Terzic at the moment.
