Milan Van Ewijk – Heerenveen

Milan Van Ewijk is a Dutch international who currently plays for Eredivisie side Heerenveen. He has been the subject of reported failed bids by Coventry City, as well as RSC Anderlecht.

Interest from the aforementioned clubs is quite telling, showing that they feel that he is ready to move on and having featured in all of Netherland’s U-21 outings at the Euro’s, his future will likely soon be sorted out for the coming season.

Van Ewijk featured 40 times for Heerenveen last season, scoring 6 goals and assisting 3 times which shows that he is adept in terms of crossing as well as his positioning, allowing him to perform quite well in the role of a wing-back to score that many goals.

With Borussia Dortmund in search of a right-back, Van Ewijk is probably too young to be a starter straight away, but would certainly fill well as a promising understudy available at a relatively cheap market price of €7million according to Transfermarkt.
