Karim Adeyemi: My goal remains to win the Bundesliga title with Borussia Dortmund

Karim Adeyemi has stated that he has big goals, and one of them is to win the Bundesliga title with Borussia Dortmund.
The start of the 2023/24 season is just over two weeks away, and Borussia Dortmund are ramping up their preparations in the United States. The Black and Yellows will look to challenge for the Bundesliga title once again in the coming year after falling agonisingly short last season.
Karim Adeyemi was one of Borussia Dortmund’s top performers in the second half of last season, with his blistering pace and directness causing opposition defenders all sorts of problems.
The Germany international spoke about the disappointment of missing out on the Bundesliga title in an interview with WAZ, but added that his goal remains to lift the Meisterschale with Borussia Dortmund.
"“The fact that we didn’t win the game and ultimately ended up in second place was definitely more frustrating than the injury (on the final day of last season).”“I went on vacation and needed to switch off right away. But I’m still young, I have big goals – and one of them is still to win the German championship with Borussia Dortmund.”"
Adeyemi, who joined Borussia Dortmund from RB Salzburg last summer, scored nine goals and assisted a further six in his debut season with the club. The 21 year old was even linked with a shock move to Real Madrid last month.
When asked about the Spanish club’s interest, Adeyemi said that his only focus right now is on achieving his goals with Borussia Dortmund.
"“I also read about it on the internet and was surprised. These rumors are part and parcel of professional football.”“I’m not really thinking about it. My focus is on one thing: achieving our goals with Borussia Dortmund.”"
Karim Adeyemi still has four years left on his current contract with Borussia Dortmund. And the hope will be that he stays with the Black and Yellows for years to come.
