Borussia Dortmund have enough quality in attack

One thing that will not worry Borussia Dortmund too much is the depth and quality upfront. At the start of the 2022/23 season, Sebastien Haller was sidelined after his testicular cancer diagnosis. While Karim Adeyemi was still adapting after his big-money move from RB Salzburg, and Donyell Malen wasn’t at the top of his game.

Things are very different now. Haller is back and appears to be in great shape. Youssoufa Moukoko, who managed to get on the scoresheet against Manchester United, will offer him tough competition for the starting spot in the number nine role.

Adeyemi and Malen are expected to continue their excellent 2023 form into the new season. Despite his age, Marco Reus will once again be an important part of the team and he has shown glimpses of his quality during pre-season.

Even with injuries to players like Gio Reyna, Jamie Bynoe-Gittens and Julien Duranville, Edin Terzic is spoilt for choice in the attacking department and it is only a matter of keeping the players on form in order for the team to achieve success.
