Right Wing: Donyell Malen

Donyell Malen had an interesting campaign for Dortmund this past season. After failing to score in the first half Malen cashed in the xG he had been accumulating in the first half of the season to finish on 9 goals matching his xG of 9.1 per Fbref.

Malen’s 15 goal contributions are the most of Dortmund’s wide attackers, making him a lock in the 11. Malen will look to sustain his form from the second half of last season. If Malen can sustain his level from the Rückrunde he will make the jump to being world class. Having jumped from 8 to 15 goals and assists from his first to second campaign in Dortmund, Malen should have an exciting campaign.
