Midfielders: Emre Can, Marcel Sabitzer, Julian Brandt

Julian Brandt and Marcel Sabitzer are expected to partner Emre Can in midfield on Saturday. The Borussia Dortmund captain is expected to be fully fit to face FC Köln after his recent injury scare.

There were doubts over how Brandt and Sabitzer will be used together in the starting XI when the Austrian completed his move from Bayern last month. But the last few games have shown that the duo can excel while playing together.

Felix Nmecha, if fit, will likely start from the bench. Given his recent injury woes and lack of experience, it is expected that Edin Terzic will ease him into the starting XI despite his impressive performance in the recent friendly against Ajax.
