Borussia Dortmund will go up against FC Köln at the Westfalenstadion on matchday one of the 2023/24 Bundesliga season.

The stage is set for the start of the new Bundesliga season, and Borussia Dortmund will hope to kick-start their title bid this weekend by getting the three points against FC Köln. The Black and Yellows will be the overwhelming favourites to come out on top on Saturday. But Steffen Baumgart’s side will certainly be up for the fight, and BVB cannot afford to take them lightly.

Borussia Dortmund do have a few injury concerns ahead of their Bundesliga opener. But Edin Terzic should still be able to field a near full-strength starting XI.

Sebastien Haller began his season with a brace against TSV Schott Mainz, and will now look to find the back of the net on matchday one of the Bundesliga season. He could be in for an intriguing battle with new Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane for the Torjägerkanone.

Donyell Malen is expected to start alongside Haller in the BVB attack, and we could also see Marco Reus in the lineup.
