Niklas Süle not happy with the timing of Germany’s tour to the United States

Niklas Süle has expressed concern over the timing of Germany’s tour to the United States, which will take place during next month’s international break.
Germany are set to travel to the United States next month for friendly matches against the USMNT and Mexico. Hansi Flick’s side will face the United States in Hartford, before traveling to Philadelphia to take on Mexico on October 17.
The friendly match against Mexico will end at 4 am CET on October 18, with Borussia Dortmund set to go up against Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga on October 20 (kick-off at 20:30 CET).
Niklas Süle has now criticised the timing of Germany’s trip to the United States, citing the jet lag the likes of Gio Reyna have to deal with after every international break. During a press conference at the Germany training camp, the BVB centre-back said:
"“That’s not a very good choice in my opinion. I always see it with my colleagues who have to play in Africa or similarly far away during international breaks. Gio Reyna, for example, has always to fly ten hours somewhere, then comes back suffering from jet lag.”"
A total of six Borussia Dortmund players were called up by Germany head coach Hansi Flick for this month’s international break. And Karim Adeyemi and Youssoufa Moukoko could also potentially be in contention for a call-up next month. So the Black and Yellows will be sweating on the availability of a number of key players for that game.
Sebastian Kehl also lamented Germany’s decision to fly to the United States in the middle of the season last month, saying that it will leave BVB with very little time to prepare for the home game against Werder Bremen.
