Ramy Bensebaini: 7/10

Ramy Bensebaini was brought in as a replacement for Raphael Guerreiro, who moved to Bayern Munich this summer. The Algerian defender has moved straight into the starting line-up and his importance to the team is already very apparent.

In the first few games of the season, he has shown his abilities quite well. Whilst not being as versatile and attacking minded as Guerreiro, he offers much more stability to the team at the back and can also play as a centre-back, which could be crucial given that Borussia Dortmund have only three senior centre-backs in the team.

The early concerns have been the amount of space that is being left behind him when he does go forward and is caught out of position. The other concern is that he has no senior back-up, which will leave a dampening effect on the team during his absence later in the season when he participates in the Africa Cup of Nations with Algeria.

The former Gladbach man is my premature pick as the best signing at the club.
