SC Freiburg vs Borussia Dortmund: Team News, Preview

Borussia Dortmund will look to finally kick-start their season as they take on SC Freiburg in the Bundesliga this weekend.
The international break is over and the Bundesliga returns this weekend, with a tricky test in store for Borussia Dortmund. Edin Terzic’s side will be away to SC Freiburg on Saturday, desperately in need of a win.
Having let a two goal lead slip against Heidenheim two weeks ago, the Black and Yellows will know that anything other than the three points against Freiburg would heap more pressure on the team.
Borussia Dortmund have a few injury question marks ahead of the game, with new signing Niclas Füllkrug a doubt as a result of the thigh injury that he has been dealing with since before his move from Werder Bremen. Although the striker has traveled with the team to Freiburg.
BVB will also be without Gio Reyna and Julien Duranville, who still need more time before returning to full fitness.
SC Freiburg were handed a heavy defeat by VfB Stuttgart before the international break, and Christian Streich’s side will be hoping to bounce back this weekend.
Captain Christian Günter remains remains sidelined with a broken arm, while Yannik Keitel and Daniel-Kofi Kyereh are also injured.
Maximilian Philipp could feature against his former club. The Wolfsburg loanee scored the winner for Freiburg against Wolfsburg last month. Matthias Ginter – another former BVB player – will lead the defence for Freiburg on Saturday.
