Manchester United have made the decision to banish Jadon Sancho from the first-team for the time being after he refused to apologise to Erik ten Hag over comments that he was being treated as a scapegoat.
Jadon Sancho has endured a difficult time since leaving Borussia Dortmund and joining Manchester United in 2021. And he has now been told to train away from the first-team after he refused to apologise to manager Erik ten Hag.
The 23 year old was left out of the Manchester United squad for their English Premier League clash against Arsenal before the international break, with ten Hag claiming that his performances in training had been below par. Sancho rejected those claims and responded by saying that he has been made a scapegoat for a long time.
Now, Manchester United have decided that Sancho will train away from the first-team until the issue is resolved. It remains to be seen what the future holds for the forward, who enjoyed his first-team breakthrough at Borussia Dortmund.
It has been reported in recent weeks that Manchester United are willing to sell Sancho. Borussia Dortmund have also been linked with a move for the England international, but a reunion appears to be unlikely due to the club’s lack of funds.
Jadon Sancho scored 50 goals and registered 64 assists in just 137 appearances for the Black and Yellows, and also established himself as one of the most talented young wingers in the world. His performances saw him earn a big-money move to Manchester United, where things have certainly not gone according to plan.
