Borussia Dortmund player ratings from come from behind 4-2 win over SC Freiburg
By Tushar Bahl
Julian Ryerson (5/10)
Ryerson returned to the starting XI and did not always look comfortable defensively. He put in a battling shift for the team and fought hard in the duels. But he had some problems at the back, especially after being asked to switch to the left in the second-half.
Mats Hummels (8/10)
Hummels proved to be Borussia Dortmund’s unlikely hero with his two decisive goals. The veteran centre-back was at the right place at the right time for his side. He probably should have done a better job of preventing Freiburg’s equaliser from happening. But he was still his team’s standout player, and also defended really well in the second half.
Nico Schlotterbeck (5/10)
Schlotterbeck started well against his former club but seemingly lost his composure as the game went on. He did not look very secure in defence, and also lost sight of Nicolas Höfler ahead of Freiburg’s go-ahead goal.
Ramy Bensebaini (4/10)
Bensebaini had a number defensive lapses in the first-half and looked to be far from his best on both ends of the pitch. He was taken off at half-time after picking up a reported injury.
